Pradeep Aggarwal's Interview On NDTV on Mind Coaching
The Mind Body Connection
By: Pradeep Aggarwal
Over the last century, as modern medicine has advanced, so has
our understanding of the role that the mind plays in making us sick or making us well. The mind body connection. Also known, as ‘cyberphysilogy' is the final frontier in our understanding of the human anatomy. The amazing powers of your mind can help you stay healthy, ease pain, heighten energy and restore wellness.
A renowned psychologist once pointed out “We don't have a mind. We are a mind”. This statement has had a tremendous impact on developments in medical science. All our present experiences, including the condition of our physical health, are determined by what goes on in the mind. Positive, optimistic thoughts strengthen and heal us, while negative thoughts can wear down us and make us ill.
Gradually, physicians are beginning to appreciate the role played by the mind in causing and curing illness. Our mental health is directly linked to our physical health. The way we think, the kind of moral, spiritual and religious factors that exist in our lives, play a major role in our health.
The best way to ensure good health, or to ensure satisfying recovery from an illness is to maintain a positive outlook, something that can be accomplished through self-hypnosis. This simply does not mean that you just give up medical therapy prescribed by a physician. It is just that medical therapy and hypnotherapy often work excellently well in conjunction with one another.
